Mr. Robert Stevens (Bob) portfolio responsibilities include very diverse programs in the U.S. Department of Defense Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) – Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L), U.S. Navy, and U.S. National Guard Bureau (NGB). His portfolio also includes the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security (DHS) Coast Guard, State, Energy (Strategic Petroleum Reserve), Commerce (NOAA), and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).
Bob leverages his successful and exceptionally diverse background in National Security, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Management, Counter and Anti-Terrorism, Cyber Crime/ Cyber-Terrorism , Critical Infrastructure Protection, Highly Classified All-Source Intelligence, International Diplomacy, and Interagency Negotiations. He has extensive expertise at all levels of the government, up to and including the National Security Council; as well as supporting the development of next-generation automated analytic tools for predictive analysis/threat anticipation. He has experience facilitating and participating in selection boards evaluating cutting-edge research & development projects, as well as twice serving as a UN Weapons Inspector in Iraq.
Bob has served as both a civil servant and contract support for Department of Defense – AT&L, State Dept., DHS, FBI, USSOCOM, FEMA, CBP, DTRA, and the National Science Foundation. His diverse Air Force career included tactical & strategic nuclear weapons operations & maintenance [Ground Launch Cruise Missile, Titan II, & Minuteman ICBMs]; and political-military duties implementing international arms control treaties & agreements. He is a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) and certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a Graduate Fellow of MIT’s National Security & International Relations program, as well as a PHD (ABD) in Homeland Security/Business Administration, Master of Science degree in International Logistics Management through the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) & a second Master of Science degree in Systems Management; as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Physics, & Geology.
