Infinity Technology Hires Richard Gordon as Vice President of Civilian and Defense Programs
Infinity Technology, LLC of McLean, VA is delighted to announce that it has hired Mr. Richard Joseph Gordon, retired Army Officer, to serve as Vice President of Civil and Defense Programs. Mr. Gordon oversees the day-to-day operating activities of Infinity Technology contracts which include: Air Force District Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). In addition to the oversight of his portfolio, Mr. Gordon is contributing to strategic planning and customer engagement strategies of the company.
Prior to Mr. Gordon’s role at Infinity, he served as Chief Information and Innovation Officer, at the US Department of Education. During that time he was responsible for appreciable increases of configuration control, performance, security, and resilience of Federal Student Aid (FSA) infrastructure operations and data security associated with thousands of Title IV academic institutions and financial service partners in 35 countries. At FSA, Mr. Gordon was also a principal member of the White House FCCX Tiger Team that designed and initiated a nation-wide electronic identity exchange. Mr. Gordon was in charge of day-to-day technical infrastructure operations as Deputy CIO at Comptroller of the Currency at Treasury and as CTO / Deputy-Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the SEC, Mr. Gordon led the implementation of “active-active” data center services to help meet current and future demands. Prior to his time with various US civilian government agencies, he worked as CIO at Walter Reed Health Care System and as Deputy-CIO at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.
Mr. Gordon has an impressive list of credentials. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), holds a MS in Information Systems from The American University, and has a BS in Information Systems from Park (College) University. With Mr. Gordon’s background in technical infrastructure and his superb executive skills, he has become a vital part of Infinity Technology.
